KW Solar is a residential and commercial solar company serving the Houston area. To date, it's installed more than 500,000 watts of solar energy.
The company sets up 4-20 kilowatt systems for residential customers, 20+ kilowatt systems for businesses, and battery storage systems for backup power. Customers must buy their systems, as KW Solar doesn't offer leases or power purchase agreements.
KW Solar always uses a licensed electrician for the wiring work. In addition, co-owner Ted Hawkes earned the LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) credential by passing a U.S. Green Building Council exam.
The company completes the entire process from design from activation within six weeks. Afterwards, it monitors each system remotely. Read More
"The project was well done from day one." Paula Y. writes on Yelp!. "The project engineer was able to provide us with a business case that showed us how quickly we would earn back our investment in the system. We appreciated how knowledgeable he was: it was clear to us that he was truly enthusiastic about solar PV and wasn't just trying to "sell us." As others‚ "have reported, we are getting even better performance from our system than they estimated."

KW Solar did a superb job for me. I have an existing solar system but 7 of the 27 microinverters were not working and one of them was never plugged in. KW technicians came out to replace those bad ones and connected the last one, then called Enphase for me to help update the layout and device information, returned the bad ones. They are very reliable and conscientious in doing their work. I highly recommend them.
