Founded by engineers from Intel in 2006, Sun Valley Solar Solutions is now one of the largest and most recognized solar companies in Arizona.

This residential and commercial installer has completed hundreds of projects throughout its service area of Maricopa, Pinal, Navajo, Pima, Cochise, Coconino and Yavapai counties, including some for large commercial customers like Gatorade. Greentech Media named it the largest Arizona-based dedicated solar installer in 2015. It's also a four-time winner of the Angie' List Super Service Award.

The company installs industry-leading SunPower solar panels that hold the record for conversion efficiency. SunPower named the company a SunPower Elite Dealer in 2012. Sun Valley holds installation work to the same standard, and never subcontracts it out. Customers can add an optional battery storage backup system that will keep important appliances

running during grid outages.

The company was one of the first solar installers to earn APS certification, and two of its staff hold NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) certification. In addition, co-founder Joe Messner is one of only a handful of people in Arizona to hold Certified Solar Roofing Professional accreditation from Roof Integrated Solar Energy (RISE) Inc.

Sun Valley Solar has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. It's also a member of the Solar Energy Industries Association, the Arizona Solar Energy Industries Association, and the U.S. Green Building Council.
